Today and the weekend will continue mild with scattered to isolated showers throughout Southcentral. Highs in Anchorage will be near freezing. Expect highs in the Valley in the mid to upper 30s.
Several weak disturbances will round the base of an upper trough over the Bering and and bring clouds and showers to the Aleutians, Bristol Bay region and Southcentral through Sunday.
A stronger storm system will make its way into Southcenral Monday, and with it, the threat of wind, rain, snow, and even warmer temperatures. This storm will merit observing through the weekend as numerical model guidance is not conclusive on its track and strength.
The Interior will keep with partly to mostly cloudy skies and little precipitation. The west coast, including SW Alaska, will see mostly cloudy skies with scattered snow showers. Showers may mix with rain in Kodiak and Bristol Bay with temps in the 30s.
Winds will increase to 40+ mph over the Alaska Peninsula tonight and tomorrow. Elsewhere, winds will be relatively light---well below advisory level.
