The overall weather pattern has changed little from the weekend.  While we won't be into the 40s today, expect mild temps with low to mid 30s in town and near 40 degree temps in the Valley.

A broad, upper-level longwave trough over the Bering Sea and north Pacific is still in place.  This feature has been the engine for the warmer temps and the unsettled weather over the the southern half of Alaska.  Lows embedded in the base of the trough continue to cycle through, move over the Aleutians into Soutthcentral and bringing warming winds with them.

PWS will have another day of moderate to heavy rain and snow.  Blizzard Warnings are in effect until the afternoon and evening for Portage Valley and Thompson Pass out of Valdez.  Traveling will be difficult this morning in these regions.

Scattered snow showers rotating around the center of the low in Bristol Bay will clear out later this afternoon.  Temps over much of the west will be in the 20s and 30s.

As the Bristol Bay low weakens and lifts northward, Anchorage and the Valley stand a chance of light snow showers through the afternoon and overnight.  Accumulations, if any at all, will be less than an inch of two.

We'll get a brief break from the wet weather in Southcentral tomorrow before the next low and associated front bring temps and winds up into Wednesday.
