ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
The Idaho Steelheads edged the Alaska Aces in an overtime game for the third straight night, and fourth straight meeting with a 4-3 shootout Friday night in Alaska's final road game of 2011.
The Aces earned a point with the shootout loss, extending their point streak to 11 games, making it the longest such stretch in franchise history.
Alaska will go into the Holiday break with a league best record of 20-5-5.After the weekend the Aces return back home to open a season-long, 11-game home stand on Wednesday against the Colorado Eagles.
