Five-time champion Egil Ellis drew start position 14, while 2011 runner-up Arleigh Reynolds drew position number eight at Tuesday's start draw for the Fur Rendezvous Open World Championship sled dog race. The event that involves three days of 25 mile heats through the trails and streets of Anchorage begins Friday at noon.
Eight of the 24 mushers signed up are rookies.
