Down 20-9 after more than 11 minutes of regulation, the UAA men's basketball team kept shooting, and found its stroke in an eventual 81-59 rout of St. Martin's on Thursday. The victory enables UAA to remain in second place in the GNAC, at 13 and 3 in conference play.
Travis Thompson nailed seven of his eight shots from the field, including for for five from three point range, good for a game-high 21 points. The Seawolves outscored the Saints after the break, 44-21. Taylor Rohde added 17 for the Seawolves, while Liam Gibcus was perfect from the floor for 10 points. The Seawolves reach 19 wins and came into the week ranked second in the initial Division II west region poll, behind GNAC leader Western Washington.
The Seawolves play their final home game on Saturday against Western Oregon.
