28-year-old Joshua Pool, of Wasilla, died Saturday evening when he fell into Willow Creek and drowned, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, troopers responded to a call that a man fell into the creek.
Megan Peters, Trooper Public Information Officer, said that Pool was dredging at the Willow Creek Mine when he lost his footing and fell into the water. He was swept down stream and was unable to pull himself out.
