ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
Viewers in Juneau are seeing KTUU’s signal directly through GCI cable, due to flooding Sunday night at the local NBC affiliate.Officials at KATH say the initial cause of flooding at the station is believed to be a broken water main. The building was deemed unsafe and evacuated due to water five inches deep on the second floor.
KATH says KTUU's signal will continue to be seen in Juneau until the station can rebuild its control room at a new facility and resume operations.
The station estimates it will take six months until its building in Juneau can be repaired.
