Photo Gallery: Venus Transit Viewers at UAA Parking Garage
The planet Venus conducted a transit across the face of the sun on June 5, the last time the transit will occur before the year 2117. Sunspotters and astronomers gathered at a special event on the roof of the University of Alaska Anchorage's parking garage to watch the transit, using a variety of specially outfitted telescopes and sunspot viewers.
